About Charlotte

DSC_0068

Hi there! My name is Charlotte. I am a language lover, travel addict, amateur writer and passionate reader who has lived in Germany, Australia, Senegal, the Netherlands and France.

I enjoy talking to all sorts of people and love to discover new places.Β I mostly write short fiction stories or talk about my travel experiences, or sometimes just put down my thoughts, my every day ponderings and interactions with other people.

I love bilingual fiction, the deconstruction of what is believed to be the right way to use a certain language in a novel, tamarind paste, swimming in the wide open sea, doing academic research, crème de marrons, learning new languages, cooking, going past a certain area and noticing something new every time (a coloured balcony that I could swear had not been there before, the way the leaves are reflected by a streetlight on the pavement at night) and of course writing!

    1. Hi there! Thank You for your post! I think I am drawn to Hindi, because I really love India, it is my dream to go there one day; I think there are so many cultures, cuisines, ethnicities, languages etc. in one country… thats amazing! So as Hindi is the main language spoken there I hope I will be able to communicate with many different people; because in the end… I think it is through the people that one gets to know a country πŸ˜‰
